Opened in 1970 and now run by Xavier, son of the original founders Roger and Colette, La Martinière is the place to go for artisanal ice cream made using high-quality, local ingredients. There are more than 60 flavours to choose from (our top tip is a scoop of salted caramel with fleur de sel), as well as homemade macarons, biscuits, ice-cream cakes and ice-cream lollies. The flagship parlour sits on the bustling harbourside in the heart of Saint Martin; there are also offshoots on nearby Rue de Sully and in the villages of La Flotte and Saint-Clément des Baleines.
