In Lecce, the city of Baroque architecture at the southern tip of Italy's heel, Fabio and Giovanni Perrone run the award-winning, contemporary Italian restaurant Bros´.
Most places in this area serve regional cucina povera, tasteful but heavy comfort food. Opened in 2015, Bros´ has a different approach. Inspired by working at Noma and Martin Berasategui, the young chefs create a modern rendition of Italian classics for Lecce’s food lovers – think gnocchi made out of white fava beans and linguine with pistachio cream. Bros´ is one of Italy’s most ambitious and important new restaurants. Everything the brothers and sisters Perrone do is smart, mature and deeply delicious. Reservations recommended.
