A sophisticated yet laidback beachside spot serving the freshest local seafood.
Run by the luxurious Borgo Egnazia hotel and open from May to September, the Cala Masciola beach club occupies a rocky patch of shoreline just outside the fishing village of Savelletri di Fasano. Its restaurant takes the form of ‘market stalls’ where you pick freshly caught fish and seafood, which is then grilled or sliced into carpaccio in front of your eyes; there are salads and pasta dishes, too. Linger over an alfresco lunch, then while away a lazy afternoon sipping cocktails in one of the cabanas. And if you stay into the evening, you might be treated to one of the regular live jazz concerts.
